The minimum and maximum salaries for this job role are below:

 

Minimum Salary - 92,000.00  

Maximum Salary - 115,000.00  

 

The Role:

 

This role will be instrumental in optimizing business workflows, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing data utilization within the first Party underwriting teams and across our functional area partners. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of business acumen, technical proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, and excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Participate in team projects either related to process enhancements and automation. Key contributor on continuous improvement of processes and tools to efficiently use data to minimize duplicative administrative efforts
  • Data analysis and Manipulation (SQL Focused)
  • Utilize SQL extensively to query, extract, and transform, and load (ETL) data from various databases for analysis and reporting.
  • Run established BAU processes utilizing SQL and advanced Microsoft office applications.
  • Interrogate SQL database to inform responses to stakeholders.
  • Provide ad-hoc data and analysis to manager requests.
  • Improve knowledge of Aspen data processes and flows.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of end-to-end operational performance reports / KPIs for Aspen stakeholders
  • Support underwriting teams by gathering system enhancement requests and translating them into functional requirements and specifications for system development and enhancements.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and work with underwriting teams to support users on new systems and processes.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and work with technical teams to resolve them promptly.
  • Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous process improvement.
  • Design and document optimized workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and system enhancements.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit, analyze, and validate business requirements.

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience:

 

  • Foundational understanding of Insurance
  • Strong MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VBA, etc)
  • Understanding of relational databases and data modeling concepts.
  • Data manipulation skills (SQL)
  • Data analytic skills
  • Familiarity with developing process maps (Visio)
  • Experience working on change projects would be beneficial
