The minimum and maximum salaries for this job role are below:

 

Minimum Salary -  124,800.00 

Maximum Salary -  156,000.00 

 

The Role:

 

We are seeking top talent for a Technical Lead (AVP) that will have a highly visable role in presenting large losses and speaking to Senior Levels.  The ideal candidate witll have expereince with Railroad and Excess claims. As a Technical Lead (AVP), this individual will be a "go-to" source for help and support because of their deep knowledge and expertiseThis position will ensure high-quality claim handling in the US Casualty Claims Unit. Files handled by this unit include long-tail bodily injury and property damage exposures, claims arising under Primary/Excess CGL policies, as well as Railroad & Programs claims. In addition to handling claims, this position will be a technical resource for the unit, managers and underwriters.

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Claims Management & Reporting: Investigate, evaluate, and resolve new and existing high-profile complex claims, including Railroad, Excess & Primary Casualty Claims, Mass Casualty Claims, Product Liability Exposures, FELA and other railroad-related losses, Public Nuisance Litigation Claims, Large Class Action Claims, and Infectious Disease and Bodily Injury Exposure. Deliver timely reports and lead data analysis to improve performance.
  • Liaison & Collaboration: Act as the key liaison with various departments, foster relationships with brokers, third parties, and customers, and champion internal collaboration.
  • Regulatory & Strategy Support: Ensure regulatory compliance, support the group claims strategy, and implement necessary changes.
  • Technical Support & Process Improvement: Provide expert technical support, investigate and resolve issues, and develop process improvements.
  • Market Engagement & Service Standards: Engage with the market to promote the Aspen brand, support service standards, and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Knowledge Maintenance & KPI Support: Maintain knowledge of the claims portfolio, ensure system updates, produce analytical claims information, and support KPI production.

 

Skills & Experience:

 

  • 10 plus years and deep experience and a proven track record of working in a Claims environment within a specialized/complex Claims area
  • Experience with RailRoad and Excess Claims is required.
  • Recognised qualification(s) and/or good practical knowledge of the insurance regulatory framework
  • Strong commercial experience of the general insurance industry and claims trends to be able to provide expert advice and opinion where required.
