The minimum and maximum salaries for this job role are below:

Minimum Salary - 139,200.00  

Maximum Salary - 174,000.00  

The Role:

Aspen Insurance is seeking an AVP Senior Underwriter for their Property division. What you'll do:

As an AVP Senior Underwriter in Property at Aspen Insurance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's functional strategy. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include monitoring and managing underwriting service performance, developing processes that align the underwriting function with business needs, maintaining quality assurance systems, and recording insurance risks accurately. You will also establish strong relationships with various stakeholders, perform complex underwriting activities while complying with legal and regulatory requirements, and identify potential improvements to maximize the use of technology.

• Contribute to functional strategy development and prioritize operational deliverables
• Monitor and manage underwriting service performance
• Develop and implement processes aligning the underwriting function with business needs
• Maintain underwriting quality assurance systems
• Record and measure insurance risks accurately
• Comply with reinsurance requirements
• Establish strong relationships with stakeholders including customers, brokers, business partners and colleagues
• Perform complex underwriting activities in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Identify and evaluate potential improvements to maximize the use of technology

What you bring:

As an AVP Senior Underwriter in Property at Aspen Insurance, you bring a wealth of experience from working in an underwriting environment within a specialized/complex area. You hold professional qualifications at degree level or equivalent. Your experience supporting technical and operational strategies is invaluable to our team. You are proficient in risk profiling, pricing tools, loss models, and relevant software including MS Office applications. Your strong customer orientation skills coupled with your ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment make you an ideal fit for this role.

• Wholesale Property Underwriting Experience (5 Years minimum)
• E&S experience (3 years minimum)
• Experience with Manuscript Policy wording
• Professional qualifications at degree level or equivalent
• Experience supporting technical and operational strategy
• Experience managing underwriting teams/resources
• Proficiency in risk profiling, pricing tools, loss models
• Strong customer orientation skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficient in relevant software including MS Office applications
