The minimum and maximum salaries for this job role are below:

Minimum Salary - 84,800.00  

Maximum Salary - 106,000.00  

 

The Role:

 

Aspen Insurance is seeking a Senior Analyst for our SOX Assurance team. This role is based in Stamford, CT or Jersey City, NJ and offers the opportunity to serve as a subject matter advisor across various business functions within the organization. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the design, scoping and implementation of Aspen’s SOX and maintenance of process narratives and process flow diagrams. This is an exciting opportunity to champion internal control and corporate governance concepts throughout the business.

What you'll do:

 

As a Senior Analyst in SOX Assurance at Aspen Insurance, you will be responsible for contributing to, monitoring, and advising on plan developments and changes. You will assist in the preparation and implementation of operational team plans that align with wider business strategy. Your role will involve building and maintaining internal control documentation including process flow diagrams, process narratives and testing results. You will provide subject matter expertise on cross-functional processes to help design controls. Additionally, you will assist with the management assessment process for SOX controls, including design, walkthrough preparation, identification of weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.

 

  • Contribute to, monitor, and advise on plan developments and changes to ensure relevancy, compliance and optimal delivery
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of operational team plans
  • Build and maintain internal control documentation including process flow diagrams, process narratives and testing results
  • Provide subject matter expertise on cross-functional processes to help design controls
  • Assist with the management assessment process for SOX controls
  • Monitor remediation of control deficiencies identified and provide recommendations for operational improvements

A BA/BS degree in accounting, finance or another relevant field is required.
