The role:
Aspen’s enterprise portfolio management office (epmo) is responsible for the successful delivery of the change portfolio by assuring we have the capability and capacity to deliver as well as the right information to ensure projects are ready to initiate and if not, when they can be prioritised.
To support this, we are creating a new ‘resource manager role’ working into the Head of Change. This is a Resource Manager + role as we want to leverage the skills and expertise to support demand forecasting for our IT resources (environments/IT readiness etc.) to support cutover and service transition.
The role holder will have responsibility across the following areas:
Collating, tracking project demand across all key project ‘trades’
Project Managers
Business Analysts
Architects
Finance and other business teams
Managing fulfilment of project roles, working with existing resources or facilitating recruitment of contract resources
Working with line and function managers to support demand forecasting (including pipeline as well as approved projects) and managing any prioritisation or escalations for project resources
Reporting on utilisation and unmet demand
Reporting on actuals vs. forecast, timesheet compliance
Supporting projects to identify and manage demand and allocations of business SMEs to projects
Supporting the contract management process (onboarding, renewals)
Key deliverables
Define and embed the resourcing process and escalation path
Establish strong relationships with project managers, project sponsors and resource ‘owners’ to ensure smooth management of demand and resource allocation
Review and refine the process for managing contract resources (onboarding, renewals)
Agree and embed timesheet management process and governance including a review of tooling
The successful candidate must have:
Proven experience as a resource manager, ideally in a change team or consultancy environment
Proficiency in project management tools and software.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong excel skills, ideally experience with PowerBI or other MI tools.
Nice to have:
Experience with resource management applications e.g Clarity
Insurance knowledge
