The minimum and maximum salaries for this job role are below:

Minimum Salary - 75,200.00  

Maximum Salary - 94,000.00  

 

The Role:

 

Aspen Insurance is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Exposure Management Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the company's exposure management capabilities within man-made catastrophes. You will be processing risk information for insurance and reinsurance for internal and external reporting, managing risk accumulations from a wide range of man-made perils. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of Insurance and Reinsurance, strong data manipulation skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Accountabilities:

 

As an Exposure Management Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our client's exposure management capabilities within man-made catastrophes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include providing catastrophe modelling support, arranging your work priorities, participating in team projects, and collaborating with underwriting teams. You will also be expected to promote best practices in Exposure Management across all areas of your work. This role provides an excellent opportunity for you to develop your skills and knowledge while contributing significantly to the company's success.

 

  • Provide man-made catastrophe modelling support for internal and external reporting.
  • Arrange own work priorities and activities in line with agreed plans.
  • Provide feedback on department strategy and planning.
  • Participate in team projects related to model use and development or general exposure management issues.
  • Collaborate proactively with underwriting teams to help queries regarding accumulations.
  • Promote Exposure Management best practice in all areas of work.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders as required.
  • Run established BAU processes utilizing SQL and Excel.
  • Identify and implement improvements to existing reporting processes.

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience:

 

The ideal candidate for the Exposure Management Analyst position brings a foundational understanding of Insurance and Reinsurance along with relevant Exposure Management knowledge. You possess strong data manipulation skills, preferably with SQL, and are proficient in MS Excel. Your strong verbal and written communication skills enable you to build robust working relationships across teams. With your ability to prioritize effectively, you are self-motivated and committed to developing your knowledge and skills independently.

 

  • Foundational understanding of Insurance and Reinsurance
  • Relevant Exposure Management knowledge
  • Understanding of key man-made lines of business
  • Strong MS Excel skills (pivot tables, xlookups)
  • Data manipulation skills (SQL preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and plan effectively
  • Self-motivated, able to develop knowledge and skills independently
