The work pattern for this job is Hybrid 

 

The minimum and maximum salaries for this job role are below:

 

Minimum Salary - 147,200.00  

Maximum Salary - 184,000.00  

The Role  

   

Supports the global Outwards Reinsurance business with ensuring an effective and efficient Outward Reinsurance the Technical Lead will oversee the technical aspects of projects within the Exposure Management, Finance, Real Estate and HR application portfolio and manage their teams/squads. They will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, technical systems analysts, EPMO, Architecture, and Data, to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions tailored to these domains. The Technical Lead will also provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, while driving innovation and continuous improvement. They will take ownership in delivering application solutions, provide technical delivery leadership, fully leverage our technology suppliers, maintain a stable platform estate, meet our compliance obligations, and ensure optimal use of our application budgets. 

 

This individual will be responsible for maintaining our core corporate systems and developing new custom Azure solutions as needed 

  

Key Accountabilities  

   

  • Oversee the technical aspects of projects within the Exposure Management, Finance, Real Estate and HR application portfolio. 

  • Manage teams/squads and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of software solutions. 

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members. 

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement. 

  • Take ownership in delivering application solutions and provide technical delivery leadership. 

  • Fully leverage technology suppliers and maintain a stable platform estate of insurance applications. 

  • Meet compliance obligations and ensure optimal use of application budgets. 

  

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience  

 

  •  Ability to grow an immature capability

  • Able to work independently  

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. (or relevant work experience)  

  • 10+ years of experience in programming languages such as SQL, Java, .NET, or Python, etc. 

  • 5+ years of experience in technical leadership roles, preferably within the P&C insurance industry. 

  • 5+ years of experience in Azure 

  • Previous experience managing Exposure Management technology teams. 

  • Experience with system integrations, data migrations, and software development preferred. 

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools like Azure DevOps. 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
