The minimum and maximum salaries for this job role are below:

Minimum Salary - 147,200.00  

Maximum Salary - 184,000.00

Aspen Insurance is seeking a highly skilled Technology Lead to join their team in Rocky Hill, CT. This role offers the opportunity to oversee the technical aspects of projects within the insurance application portfolio and manage teams/squads. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. What you'll do:

 

As a Technology Lead at Aspen Insurance, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the technical aspects of projects within the insurance application portfolio. Your leadership skills will be crucial in managing teams/squads and collaborating with cross-functional teams for the successful delivery of software solutions. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance and mentorship to your team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Your role will involve taking ownership in delivering application solutions, providing technical delivery leadership, fully leveraging our technology suppliers, maintaining a stable platform estate of insurance applications, meeting our compliance obligations, and ensuring optimal use of our application budgets.

 

  • Oversee the technical aspects of projects within the Insurance application portfolio.
  • Manage teams/squads and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of software solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Take ownership in delivering application solutions and provide technical delivery leadership.
  • Fully leverage technology suppliers and maintain a stable platform estate of insurance applications.
  • Meet compliance obligations and ensure optimal use of application budgets.

 

What you bring:

 

The ideal candidate for this Technology Lead position brings a wealth of experience in programming languages such as SQL, Java, .NET, or Python. With over 5 years' experience in technical leadership roles within the P&C insurance industry, you have developed strong leadership skills that enable you to effectively manage teams and deliver high-quality software solutions. Your expertise in Azure and Duck Creek sets you apart from others. You are capable of growing an immature capability and have excellent communication skills. Your understanding of interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs will be crucial in this role.

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or relevant work experience)
  • 10+ years of experience in programming languages such as SQL, Java, .NET, or Python
  • 5+ years of experience in technical leadership roles, preferably within the P&C insurance industry
  • 5+ years of experience in Azure
  • Technical expertise in Duck Creek
  • Ability to grow an immature capability
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
  • Understanding of interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs
