The minimum and maximum salaries for this job role are below:

Minimum Salary - 147,200.00  

Maximum Salary - 184,000.00  

The Role:

Aspen Insurance is seeking a Technology Lead for our Reinsurance division. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the technical aspects of projects within the Reinsurance and Aspen Capital Markets application portfolio. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality software solutions, driving innovation and continuous improvement. They will also have the chance to provide mentorship to team members, ensuring optimal use of application budgets and meeting compliance obligations.

What you'll do:

As a Technology Lead in our Reinsurance division, your role will be pivotal in managing the technical aspects of our projects. You'll work closely with various teams, including software engineers, technical systems analysts, EPMO, Architecture, and Data, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in providing guidance and mentorship to your team members while fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement. You'll take full ownership in delivering application solutions, leveraging our technology suppliers to maintain a stable platform estate of insurance applications. Your role will also involve meeting our compliance obligations and ensuring optimal use of our application budgets.

• Manage teams/squads and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of software solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Take ownership in delivering application solutions and provide technical delivery leadership.
• Fully leverage technology suppliers and maintain a stable platform estate of insurance applications.
• Meet compliance obligations and ensure optimal use of application budgets.
• Maintain core Reinsurance underwriting systems and develop new custom Azure solutions as needed.

What you bring:

As the ideal candidate for the Technology Lead - Reinsurance position, you bring a wealth of experience in programming languages such as SQL, Java, .NET or Python. Your background includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience), along with significant experience in technical leadership roles within the P&C insurance industry. Your familiarity with Azure is extensive, having spent at least five years working with this platform. You've previously managed Reinsurance and/or Capital Markets technology teams, and have experience with system integrations, data migrations, and software development. Your familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools like Azure DevOps will be a significant asset in this role.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or relevant work experience)
• 10+ years of experience in programming languages such as SQL, Java, .NET, or Python
• 5+ years of experience in technical leadership roles, preferably within the P&C insurance industry
• 5+ years of experience in Azure
• Previous experience managing Reinsurance and/or Capital Markets technology teams
• Experience with system integrations, data migrations, and software development preferred
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools like Azure DevOps
