The minimum and maximum salaries for this job role are below:
Minimum Salary - 147,200.00
Maximum Salary - 184,000.00
The Role:
- The Technical Lead will oversee the technical aspects of projects across IT and Data domains while managing their teams/squads. They will be responsible for standing up four new teams (DevOps, Testing Center of Excellence, Office 365, cloud system administrators) along with running an existing team for Documentum. They will be responsible for the creation and monitoring adherence to our IT standards, policies and governance.
- They will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, technical systems analysts, EPMO, Architecture, and Data to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. The Technical Lead will also provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, while driving innovation and continuous improvement. They will take ownership in delivering application solutions, provide technical delivery leadership, fully leverage our technology suppliers, maintain a stable platform estate of applications, meet our compliance obligations, and ensure optimal use of our application budgets.
- Additionally, they will support other application development teams from these standpoints, ensuring seamless integration and collaboration across various platforms and applications.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to the DevOps, Testing Center, Cloud System Administrators, and Office 365 teams.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture, ensuring alignment with organizational values and objectives.
- Define team goals, track performance metrics, and ensure the professional development of team members.
- Develop, document, and enforce IT standards and policies to ensure consistency, compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks to monitor adherence to IT standards across all teams and projects.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure policies are followed and updated in response to evolving business and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the integration and optimization of tools and practices across DevOps, cloud administration, testing, and Office 365 platforms.
- Develop and implement the strategic vision for shared services, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.
- Ensure the delivery of scalable, reliable, and secure solutions that meet the company’s evolving needs.
- Partner with stakeholders across IT, business units, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and delivery of services.
- Advocate for shared services in organizational planning, emphasizing efficiency and innovation.
- Work closely with product and project managers to define priorities, manage resource allocation, and deliver projects on time.
- Oversee operational activities for DevOps pipelines, testing frameworks, cloud infrastructure, and Office 365 environments.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive alignment between technical operations and organizational governance frameworks.
- Drive the adoption of emerging technologies and best practices to enhance team capabilities and service delivery.
- Identify opportunities for automation, cost reduction, and process efficiency across the shared services portfolio.

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. (or relevant work experience)
- 10+ years of experience in programming languages such as SQL, Java, .NET, or Python, etc.
- 5+ years of experience in technical leadership roles, preferably within the P&C insurance industry.
- 2+ years of experience in Azure
- Experience with system integrations, data migrations, and software development preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools like Azure DevOps.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
